At Laurus Grace, we are determined our students should be able to open the door to the future of their choice. They deserve a well-rounded, enriching education where they can be challenged, be curious and develop enhanced moral compasses.
On their timetables, students will have allocated time throughout the week where the focus is on developing social and emotional skills, and further preparing them for a healthy life outside of school.
We are dedicated to ensuring our students can access social and emotional education in a format that suits them, whilst focusing on relevant topics to ensure long-term health, enhanced social communication skills, and improved emotional regulation.
At Laurus Grace, this is done in the following ways:
Social, Moral, Spiritual and Cultural Education (SMSC)
SMSC is embedded throughout all our curriculum areas.
Electives
Our Electives program allows for students to engage with enrichment opportunities, where they can further investigate and participate in their individual areas of interest.
Project Based Learning
Our Project Based Learning curriculum incorporates wider cross curricula themes, including the performing arts, humanities and other practical based subjects.
Targeted Interventions
Targeted interventions may include developing skills in Literacy, Numeracy, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health.
